Hello everyone!

Is anyone out there doing case management as an independent contractor? I have been doing CM for several years and am thinking about hanging out my own shingle. I am CCM, and work primarily with medical diagnoses, DM, MS, asthma, COPD, complex and non-healing wounds, LTAC referrals etc. Some of the questions that I have are where do independents find referrals? How long does it take to build up a case load that will sustain you at a livable wage? I am in the Midwest, and know that there are a few TPA's that are based in this area.

Any suggestions, comments or helpful info is appreciated!
