Hello everyone...I've been cruising around the forum reading a lot recently, and with having to put my grandma in the hospital, and now LTC/Hospice, and trying to get my grandpa set up with an in-home aide of sorts, I've dealt with tons of social wokers, case managers, nurses, etc...in the past few weeks.
As of now, I am a pre-nursing student, and am going to get my BSN. I am veryy interested in becoming an NP...in the very distant future, of course!

However, I am also very interested in Case Management, since to me, it seems like such a super role for patient advocacy, family assitance, etc, and all very fascinating.
So, I am curious...would working as a CM/DM (although, I am not super clear on the role of a DM) help me to be a better NP? I am most likely considering FNP. I figured, if I did case management, I would have a much better idea of what services were available for patients in terms of community-based agencies, etc. But I want to hear your oppinions.
Thank you very much for your input!
