Thanks tlf91........good information to know. I start my new job with Optum on the 25th and am very excited about being able to stay in disease management. I recently received a call from my previous employer, wanting to know if I would like to do prn work from home during the summer. I told them I will have enough on my plate with my new job, so I don't think that will be an option. After what I went through with them, I doubt if I would go back to work there.

I've already received my new hire paperwork. The pay and benefits are excellent with UHC and so far I'm very impressed with the office environment. Thanks for the reply.

Question

not to sound mercenary or anything but what is the approx. pay range (hourly) of telephone/telephonic nursing jobs? is it as good as a hospital or do you see the benefits non-cash-wise (all the benefits of not having to drive to a job on the outside)
just curious.....

I noticed you stated you are back in home care. How did you process that return; did you answer newspaper ads or? Thanks.
