Hey, I'm about to graduate in 3 months and am starting a job in the PICU in July. Any advice would be great, but looking for some specific PICU advice. Namely, what does the PICU staff look for and what makes a good PICU nurse. Thanks for the help.
Welcome shaggyb2000. If you use the search feature, I know you'll find dozens of posts that will help with your query. I've ansered similar questions quite a few times and honestly can't remember what I've said to whom. Give it a try, and then when you have a bunch more questions come on back.

Your question was what do we look for in PICU nurses.
I will tell you the same thing that I tell all my preceptees; don't come in acting as if you know everything, after 23 years I still learn every day! "The difference between a GOOD nurse and a BAD nurse is, a Good nurse can say I don't know!"
I do it all of the time!
Good luck!
