Has anyone seen any data comparing utilizing a tepid bath to reduce fever vs using ice water?
What do you do in your unit?

Ice water baths should never be used for fever reduction in children. Besides being extremely uncomfortable, they cause too rapid cooling, leading to shivering, which may actually increase the child's temperature.
