Finding camp work..

Hey all,

I am interested in camp nursing but I was wondering how you all go about finding a position. Do you all search online? I haven't seen any ads in the paper. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Re: Finding camp work..

If you had a kid that is of camping age, how would you locate a summer camp program to send him to? I would start with the local YMCA and ask if they hAVE a camp, call more than 1 YMCA, as some have a camp and others do not, Say I am a nurse looking into a position as a camp nurse, is there a camp at your facility? ould I speak with the director? Speak to the camp director. Look in the yellow pages for camps and call each one and ask if they need a nurse. You can also type in summer camps. Look at local magazines thet offer camp programs and call them.

I bet the NY Times has ads and I used to see ads in the back of magazines. Any particular location?

Hi! There is an opening for a nurse, at the YMCA Camp Shady Brook, in the Colorado Rockies. It's one hour from Colorado Springs. Contact thettler@ppymca.org or check out the website www.campshadybrook.org Best Wishes!
