Excellent! It IS fun, and very challenging in ways that are new to most nurses. I do know of a camp in Missouri that's looking for a nurse (I hope it's OK for me to post it here?). It's called Camp Cedarledge; the employment web address is
http://www.gscgsl.org/camp/openings.asp. (I have no personal connection with the camp, just saw this posting elsewhere.) Cedarledge is a Girl Scout camp. If you're interested in other Girl Scouts camps, the easiest way to find them is to search for "Girl Scout council Arkansas" (or whatever state you prefer). Most states have several councils; most councils have at least one camp.
For other opportunities, check out the Association of Camp Nurses webpage (
http://www.campnurse.org),
http://www.acacamps.org, and
http://www.campstaff.com (this site is directed at counselors, but the camps do list their health positions as well).
Good luck with your search!
