Re: Transporting Telemetry Patients

Some facilities have an in house RN transport team (composed of ICU RNs) that can transport if floor staff are unable (typically during the day). Requires NP/PA/MD order to go off monitor.

Re: Transporting Telemetry Patients

Our pts can go without tele for testing. Unless of course they are on a cardiac gtt or unstable.

Re: Transporting Telemetry Patients

Everytime we admit a new pt. they get a pre-made stamp placed on the chart that says:

Pt. may leave floor for procedure without nurse or monitor. Yes or No

Then the doctor circles either yes or no. If it hasn't been addressed and the pt. needs to go off the floor we just call the Doctor and get a verbal order.
