Talking Starting something new!

I am currently an orthopedic/gyn onc/med-surg nurse in Kansas City. I'm moving in 2 weeks to Chicago to do tele. Any words of wisdom from tele nurses out there?

Welcome! I'm sure you found the Chicago forum by now....but here's the link, just in case.

I'd suggest taking an EKG course and ACLS, Emily. Also, I'd study up on diseases--such as ACS and CHF--and risk factors--such as diabetes--that predispose people to cardiac issues.

There are many online cardiac sites that can boost your knowledge base, and some of them are listed here in other threads.

You can PM me if you have any questions. Best of luck to you! Telemetry's challenging, but I love it.
