3 1/2 yr background in CVICU. Looking into a cardiac rehab coordinator position. Wondering what this type of position pays? Would like to be informed if I get the chance to negotiate for the job. If anyone is the coordinator for a cardiac rehab program could you tell me about your job, what you like about it, and what you do not like? I always loved the teaching I did in CVICU and thought I can translate that passion into this type of job. Any info on cadiac rehab would be helpful. Thanks and have a great day!

Is this job part of the hospital where you work or an outside facility??? I work cardiac rehab and since we are a part of the hospital the pay is the same as if I worked anywhere. Of course, we also have a union. I am not however, in charge. We have nonunion exercise physiologist who was placed as manager but I know he makes less money than me. I am the only full time RN, we have 2 other part time RNs. Our Director is a RN but she has no knowledge base of cardiac rehab and is over many other departments like the cath lab/ echo/etc. etc.
