Are PCU, telemetry and cardiac step down the same kind of units, just called by different names? Or is there a difference? I know in each of these the patients are usually on the telemetry monitors.

PCU is typically ICU stepdown. We take art lines, vents, titrate drips, etc... Tele units where I work DO NOT titrate drips, have no vents, lines ets... our cardiac stepdown is basically used for sheath pulls, post op surgical pts.
