Interview

I am a Medical Assistant Student @ Cittone Institute. My next career move is to go to school to be an RN. Is there anyone out there that can do a breif interveiw? To be more specific I will need to interview someone who works in the Nuerology or Cardiology Dept.

Hi, there......

Well, I'm an RN and I'll be working telemetry when I finish my internship, but I'll bet you want to talk with someone who has been working as an RN for a little while.

So, I have two suggestions:

1) Go to the allnurses forums for cardioogy and neurology (look at the top of the page for "nursing discussions," then click on "nursing specialties," and then look for those two specialties), read some of those threads, and send a PM or an email to some of the people who post a lot and who seem to be posting answers, rather than questions.

2) Call your local hospital, or a local cardiologist's or neurologist's office. If the hospital, ask to speak with the nurse manager of the cardiology or neurology floor. If a doc's office, ask to speak with an RN. In any case, explain that you are a student and ask if you can visit with them for (15 or 20 minutes?) about (presumably, what their jobs are like).

This oughta get you going!

Good luck!
