Well......our hospital is taking over the nursing duties in our 6 bed Chest Pain Center Unit w/i the ER. We have had 16 hours of preceptorship in the unit and the Stress Lab, and then 4 hours of ACS lecture. With 11 years in the ER, 14 in Resp. Therapy I still feel somewhat reluctant with being comfortable being in this unit alone. Do any Cardiac nurses have some support/advise they can give? I am talented, but hate to risk my license with only 20 hours of....lol....training........I work there this Sunday.

(may I add that we are there..alone............)
I believe with that much experience you should be fine. You should already know how to read EKG's, and know the S/S of an AMI, keep in mind what the ultimate goal for each patient should be, and you should be fine.
