Question CCSD (Coronary Care Stepdown) Nurse to Patient Ratio???

Just wanted to see what the nurse to patient ratio is at other facilities. At our hospital it is 1 to 5 on days and 1 to 6 on nights. Thanks in advance for you replys.

At my facility, the ratio is maximum of 5:1. usually more like 4:1. There's an admit nurse on days and evenings which makes the nurses' lives a little better.
BTW, It's one of the more difficult units to work and should have a ratio of max:4:1 in my opinion.

At my facility, the ratio is usually 4-5:1...on a bad night, an RN can have 6 patients...but usually 4 or 5 is the norm.

I work tele in California. New ratio law says 5pt to 1 nurse all shifts, will go 4:1 in 2008.

Are you talking stepdown, or tele? Two different units. I work CCU stepdown, and our ratio is 1:3. Tele is 1:5-6 (both higher on nights).
