What are the pre- AND post- nursing interventions to be considered for someone in the cardiac cath lab getting ready for a cardiac cath procedure? Also, what is the role of the RN during the procedure? What necessary skills are required by the nurse to perform their particular job function? I am very interested in this particular area, but not sure what exactly would be my role. I am still in school, but not much longer. Do I need specialized training for this area? I appreciate any feed-back. Thank you!
