what happens next with bad job Hx

I have been a nurse for 2.5 years. My work history stinks, but I love being a nurse, I just haven't found "my place" I have worked in nursing homes since school and am ready to go back to the hospital. I am worried with no references and poor work hx, that no one will even touch my application.
