I'm going to see if I can get a work situation that will allow me to do the BSN route as I already have a bachelors/masters degree in another field.

A couple of people suggested with my management background to get a BSN for management opportunities. Having been in management the past 6 years, I'm tired of it. I guess in the fields that I've worked, there's never been enough money-wise to justify being in management compared to those I've supervised. Does nursing have a much bigger pay discrepancy between those in management than say those who are on the floor?

I'd almost say if it's not at least 20%, I'd almost say forget it.

Regardless of the nurse's title, every nurse is a supervisor. Whether its supervision of aides, LPNs, ADNs or all of the above at once. There's no avoiding it unless you go into something like private duty nursing.

With a BSN, you can do more than just "work the floor" or "management". You could become a nursing instructor as well.
