Open Range

by ptnurse

Last night hubby and I saw Open Range with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall. If you were raised on western shows and movies like I was you will love this movie. The cast and story were excellent. This is just a good old fashioned shoot out at the o.k. corral type movie.

Robert Duvall and "Lonesome Dove".....wow ! Perfect Casting !
I fell in love with him in " " " " " .
So now, I watch him in all his movies.

I've watched all the major (and some un-major) film critics reviews this past week and ALL are giving the movie a thumbs up/ HOT review.

After all the stupid/plotless/violent movies offered this summer, (with the lone exception of Seabiscuit)

this movie is intelligent, honest, and a visual treat.
Real entertainment.

What a choice this week ..................
Freddy vs Jason
or
"OPEN RANGE"

A real movie portraying a true life situation,
or more blood/gore.

No contest for me....I'm off to enjoy the movie....
Also, the film reviewers said to ....

"Give it 20 minutes to develop where it is going,
you will be pleasantly surprised"

kick back, relax,.......... and allow yourself to be entertained........

IT's the ONLY summer movie I want to spend any money seeing, frankly. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Run time for the movie was 139 minutes, if I recall correctly.

Passingthru, so I see there's another Lonesome Dove/Robert Duvall fan out there! Love him, love Tommy Lee Jones. Can't wait to see the movie, glad to hear it's worth the money.
