Needs opinion

I am expected to arrive in U S by March 2005, My experienced is on pediatric unit my agent had given me state choices where to be employed. Most of my friends worked in NJersey encouraged me to be there. But my choice is in Texas since I have 4 kids ages 14, 6,5 & 4. Hopefully they will be joining me after 3 months. I still have the option since Im still waiting for my final Immigration interview. Can anyone give me good ideas.
