Need advice re appearing before state board

I was recently a participant in TPAPN but my case was closed because I have sickle cell anemia. I have to take pain meds periodically to manage the crisises. To be a candidate for TPAPN you have to abstain from pain meds for two years. They are now turning me over to the board. Now I'm scared they will take my license. What should I do?

Re: Need advice re appearing before state board

1. If you have nursing malpractice insurance, contact your carrier.

2. Otherwise, please seek the advise of legal counsel to protect YOUR rights since you state have a medical condition requiring strong pain meds to manage health issue.

State Nurses Association, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA) or Lawyer Referral Directory - ABA can assist you with lnames of lawyers specializing in this area..

We can not offer legal advise. Please use our Admin Help Desk if admin contact desired.
