need advice about choosing which nsg program

Hi there, I'm new to these boards, and I am needing some good solid advice please. Okay, I was a BSN program nursing major back in 1988 through 1990, when I was fresh out of high school and went into college. I finished all my nursing prerequisites during that two years. Then because of very foolish reasons looking back I dropped out of the nursing program the semester we were to start actual nursing classes and clinicals. Anyway, I did go on to graduate college with a B.A. I went on to take some medical terminology courses later and a medical transcription course and now I work as a medical transcriptionist, which I enjoy to an extent, but I just have this strong desire to go back and finish nursing school if I can get reaccepted.
Okay, basically locally where I live there is an ADN program and BSN programs, and it looks like with either it would take me two years time to complete because I mentioned I have the BSN prereq's under my belt, thank goodness. My life is a lot different now though when I first started college. I am a divorced mother of two young boys now, trying to work full time. Either program would take me four semesters, because of the two years prereq's I have completed already with the BSN program. The thing is if I go back to the BSN program that will be more considerably more expensive for tuition as opposed to the ADN program, and when speaking to advisors from both programs it seems like the BSN program will be a bit more strenuous of a work load, and with my responsibilities of being a single mother and work that is definitely something to look at.
Should I just go on and try to finish the BSN since it will be the same time frame? I'm also concerned about getting loans or financial aid for tuition. Any advice would be appreciated.
