I got into nursing school! Sort of...

I just wanted to share this because I can't talk to my family about it really.

I have been accepted to the Bayonne Medical Center School of Nursing in NJ. However, my acceptance is pending I pass an algebra class this summer. Taking the class is pending I take a math placement test ASAP and place into it.
I found a loop hole where they say if you achieved a certain score on your SATS in the last five years you can be exempt from the test. It's been a long time since my SATS, but I took the GREs three years ago and did pretty well.

I asked if my GRE scores could make me exempt from the placement test. Well you would think this question had never been asked before in the history of the world. It's been a week and they are still looking for an answer.

I now hang in limbo, caught in a nightmare of school tape, unable to register for classes or make any real plans to begin my schooling because my application is "not complete" and yet I am accepted into the school. sort of.

I feel like my brain is going to explode!!

I just needed to share!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I fear the placement test because I have a feeling I won't pass it. I can handle GRE tests and the NET, but for some reason I get stupid with the accuplacer.

Re: I got into nursing school! Sort of...

Moving from canada to hear to be with my wife- I started at square 1 with school!! I had to take a math placement Exam as well, I even had to do an English placement exam, but I think everyone does! I stressed about the Math exam as well. I passed, not a super duper mark, but well above of what is required. Lot of good books/cd's to help ya with ur math. if I was in your situation,m i would be brushing up until you get a response back from the school! maybe go in and talk to an advisor and see what type of math/algebra are on the exam so you can narrow down your studies. Math calculations are an important skil in Nursing. My school we have a math dosage exam each semester and ya must pass with a 90%! u get 2 cracks at it, if ya fail the rewrite your out!! 1 fellow had a high 90's average , but failed the math and he is out!1 Has to wait till jan 09 to start again!! Best of luck
