I'm in high school and am pretty sure that I want to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I would just like to know whether most people get their bachelor's and go right into their master's or take a few years off of school to work first. Thanks for any info!

Do you work with children now? I think that working as a counselor with children or in a youth ministry or similar activity like babysitting helps you learn to understand children. If you find that you are a natural with children then I say it's up to you whether you want to get your bachelor's and go right into your master's. I personally think you would make a stronger practitioner by working in some type of peds area before you get your masters.
