Unhappy Help! Suspended License

My RN license is being suspended for one year and I am having to suddenly quit my job. Where can I work in the mean time? I am going to beg to work as a CNA at the hospital that I am at now. How do you explain on a cover letter why you are applying for a CNA, Secty, etc... without blowing all chances? Once the year suspension is up, I will then have to basically go through the TPAPN program for about a year. If the hospital I am at now does not keep me, how will I get a new job starting the TPAPAN program? Are there places that will hire or do you just have to get lucky or know someone? Any advice is greatly appreciated. HELP!!

Re: Help! Suspended License

I'm really sorry to hear that happened! I dont know where you could work in the mean time, but the best advice i can give you is be honest with future employers. If you can stay in the medical field, i would think that would be the best so you can remain in the enivonment and it would show that you are dedicated to your field. Hope it all works out!

Re: Help! Suspended License

I think a little differently. If I knew why you lost your license I might think as you are but since I don't know I'll tell you that I could not work as a CNA in the hospital where I worked as an RN. I certainly would not beg them for anything. Bow out gracefully. Take a break, go get a fun job, dept store, bar, amusement park, not knowing what's available in your area. You can have more fun making the same amount of money rather than being a tech. Once you get your license back, apply with a different hospital and be honest about everything. Best of luck to you.
