help with "brains"

i am a 17 year old LPN (yeah, i know) and i start my first LPN job september 10th (2 days before i turn 18) and i'm really scared. i, of course, am obsessively trying to research and find tricks and tools so that it's not such a scary experience for me. i have to go through training for 8 weeks on days and then work weekends 7pm-7am and i will be the ONLY LPN on the floor with 46 patients. i'm really nervous. i hear nurses have cheat sheets called "brains" that they make themselves and use to keep organized and get all of their tasks done. any suggestions on effective "brains" would be awesome. also, if someone could tell me some good ways to absorb all the information i will be getting during my training and a way to actually REMEMBER it all that would be so great too. thanks for any help that you can give me. i really need it.

Wow congrats! I hope there will be someone else besides you on the floor with the 46 pts? Anyway, I'm thinking you are referring to report sheets or "brains?". When I get report I have a sheet and I write down everything and keep it with me, however, I only get report on 2, not 46!
