CRNA's can you tell me something I might not know???

Hello all! I am a soon to be working LPN going on to final semester for RN clinicals. A while ago I made the decision to eventually end up on a path leading to becoming a CRNA. I know many of the generals of the profession (like required schooling and salaries) but I feel like there is so much that I don't know. I've heard tons of things in hospitals like they are being phased out in some areas, that schooling is very competitive and hard to get into all together, and that in the long run it just may not be worth the extra work. Can anyone shed some light???
