CNA while waiting..

Hello everyone. I currently reside in Orange Couunty, CA and I am attending Cypress College. As of right now I am finishing up all my GED requirements before applying to the Nursing Program there. Once I finish my pre-reqs I am going to be on the wait list that is approx. 1-2 years. I was wondering if from now until I get accepted I should try and become a CNA? Any thoughts? Anyone know of any schools where I can obtain my certification - or should I just wait until I'm in the program and forget the whole thing?? Thanks very much and I hope everyone has a good evening!

Sincerely,
Ashley

Re: CNA while waiting..

I think it would be wise for you to become a CNA while waiting. This training and experience will give you a better understanding of the material and in clinicals. I wish I had done CNA or PCT before entering nursing school. I do not know any schools in CA, but google the information.
