Hi, I recently graduated with my associates degree, I have been an LPN for over a year, and I worked part time in a nsg home for a year. I have applied online to several hospitals, but they are far from my current home, because I intend to relocate as soon as I find a job. I have tried calling these facilities, but can only reach recordings. I have driven to them to submit an updated resume in person, but they were closed and it is not easy for me to keep making these trips. I want to work on a med-surg floor, full time, day shift and after I get some experience I want to work in an ER. I can't believe I am having such a hard time. I applied to three over a month ago and have only received letters in the mail thanking me for my application. I am going to update my resume, but I don't know what else to do.
My question is- Is applying online enough, should I wait for a call or keep pushing?? How do you know when enough is enough?
Would it be easier to apply for an internship in the ER?? Would I get benefits???
Please help if you can, I appreciate any advice offered.
