Advice on getting into Canada and nursing school

Here's a short history of my current adventure:
I have worked in the human services field for 10 years. After 33 years of living in the desert southwest I decided to move to the pacific northwest.
This decision was due to the current state of affairs in the US, my sexual orientation, and climate
What I'm hoping to find is advice on a carrer in nursing in Canada. Specifically Vancouver.
I've moved up to Seattle from New Mexico and hope to find a nursing school in Vancouver where I can get a degree in nursing. This school needs to have a program where I can work and attend school and perchance attain a degree in exchange for contract wherein they pay my tuition and I work for them for a certain period as a payback.

Sorry for the gush of info but I need sage advice.

I don't go to school in BC (I'm in Ontario) but I'm not aware of any hospitals that offer "tuition for future work". That said, it couldn't hurt to ask around. Good luck with your search!

It's pay as you go, or get a student loan to get through Nursing school up here. No hospitals help re-imburse tutition. Part time work is very common.

Check out UBC, Langara, UVIC, for admission requirements. Science marks need to be very good.

Good Luck
