??????

I recently sent a new thread. I took alot of time to write it. Submitted it. Only to get a deleted notice. What did I do? I wasn;t given any reason... Please respond. Until I know. I will not be writing in any more. Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say your message was deleted, but I have an idea. I only have dial up internet service and I get dumped offline quite a bit, usually when I am attempting to post something. There are also times when my replies will fail to post just before I'm going to get dumped offline and my entire text will get deleted or I will end up with a blank screen with a message at the top that says "Cannot find server". Sometimes the "noise" on the telephone line here is so bad that I can't get a connection for up to a hour after I get cut off! What I do to avoid losing any of my work, because I sometimes compose long posts in reply to nursing students who need help with nursing assignments, is before hitting the "Submit Reply" or "Preview Post" buttons, I select (press Control + A), copy (press Control + C) and paste (Edit, Paste Special, Unformatted Text) the entire text that I've composed to an open Word document that is formatted to Verdana font of size 10 which is the default font used by the forum. I will also compose posts on an open Word document while offline and then copy and paste the text to a reply later when I am connected to the Internet. That way, if I get cut offline or something like what you describe happens, I can merely pull up the thread to attempt to post my reply to it later. I am online so frequently that I am aware of the most likely times when these tragedies are likely to happen. I still, however, routinely copy and paste ALL posts to an open Word document just in case.

Re: ??????

Hello, CJ777,

You had a duplicate thread, both of which were in the same forum. One was deleted and one was left in view.

Here is the link to the current thread in the Nursing Career Advice forum:

http://allnurses.com/forums/f87/gett...nd-196353.html

Hope this clears up the issue.
