STANDARD of CARE

I am interested in finding a resource which outlines Standards of Care for various nursing tasks. I realize individual institutions have their own standards of care but there must be a wider-scope standard of care- yes? Does anyone know where I can begin?

Lippincott has a very good manual of evidence-based practice standards for some of your more common prodecures (see link above). It has pictures, and care plans for most of the procedures as well.
