Question HEP C THERAPY

Has anyone here ever given an PEG Interferon inj? I hear this med is fairly new and not readily available. The difference in this new tx is, it's given once a week. Is this given SC? What type of pt education is needed? I would appreciate any info you can give. Thanks for all your help.

For anyone who's interested in knowing a little more about this drug, I found some info on MEDSCAPE.COM under internal medicine. This med is known as pegylated interferon.
