Falls Team, need help w/monthly percentage of falls at different hospitals

I've currently been nomianted to be involved in our hospitals first Fall Team. I would like to obtain information from other facilities on their percentages of falls per month. But, other than asking you to help me, I do not know how to go about getting the information. I work on a psych unit in South Texas and we had 16 falls last month. Three were from the beds not locking, but the others were from sedating meds. We are looking at different beds, but I'm not sure what we can do about the other. Also if you know of anyway to help prevent the falls, please let me know. Our PI person was going to buy these invared things that fit on the end of the patient bed. When I told the doc., she said they tried it at the nursing homes and it didn't work. Please Help!!!
