Re: Employee of the month yet written up 4 insubordination and put on 60days probati

This place sounds like a facility that I worked at. The stories I could tell! Sometimes we just have to decide enough is enough and hit the door. I was the most "honored" nurse on the floor for patient care, new techniques learned, charting, and the doctors appreciated my input, but in the end I quit/was terminated when I caught a CNA putting false VS,I/O, and having sex with BF in supply room not once but 3 times. Each time I was told the problem was being worked on, finally I had to refuse to work with her, she was retained and I was on the street. Later she was caught stealing money from a patient by the NM who happened to be a friend of the patient. I do not regret leaving this place. I sleep better. Look for another job and get out of there, it will save you trouble, stress, and improve your life.

Before you decide to quit. Make a list of the pro's and con's of the job. The grass is not always greener. My current place of employment is rough at times. I am sure that the management team is living on another dimension for some of the rules they put into effect. I stay because I love the people I work with. If you put your feelings on paper and can stand back and look at it objectively (let the anger go for a minute) the answer may become crystal clear.
Good Luck!

Too funny. Thanks. It is like someone telling you you have green stuff in your teeth. Others may have just let me ramble on.....I wonder if she quit

I was also put on probation for 60 days. The reason I was told they( nurse admin) wants to make sure I can do the job as a Charge Nurse. No adv erse writeups to support this. All allegations were just rumors and hearsay.
The history behind this, is that most of the team prefer to work with me than the other charge nurse who is bipolar and a pathological lier. A lot of complains were brought to admin regarding her and none by me. Now the table is turn around me. Please comment. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Insubordination usually means you violated an order from a supervisor.

Were you told not to send the prn CNA home and did so anyway?

No matter the merits of your position, disobeying a boss will usually land you in hot water.

How screwed up is that?

I had to unscrew my JAW off the FLOOR. That is how screwed up that one is.

And they waited until she'd completed her shift.

Of course.
