I work in long term care facility, my position is Treatment Nurse. I always follow universa precautions, and good hand washing before and after patient contact. I have had rash for about 2 weeks, these begin as what looks like little bite, then become fluid filled blisters. had some comeup on outer aspect of hands, went to the doctor yesterday. They said it was staph infection probably MRSA and did culture of it. Also placed me on bactrim for a week and I have to call back friday and see if culture is back. They also told me that they are seeing alot of this. why is this becoming so popular a thing? Of course they said that we cant prove that I got it from work, figure the odds. Oh well, hopefully will go away soon, dont like looking at hands and seeing these things.
