There must be some kind of misunderstanding. I read your previous posts and you got stuck once in a local MD's office and once in a nursing home. Ive never worked in a hospital but I thought that there were containers made to prevent these type of things from happening. If this is common then I'm not sure I want to be a nurse anymore. I'm just confused as to how you can make the same terrible mistake twice within such a short period. Do tell.

As long as the containers are used properly (the sharp is dropped into the box) I doubt they would spill back out.

I agree that a sharps container - the ones available commercially are difficult to have things just "fall" out of them.
