Question Need an advice for a grad school

Hi. I'm a Pediatric RN in Texas.
I need an advice about my career choice.
My career goal from 5 years from now is to become an infection control nurse.

What is the general career path when a RN become an infection control?
I'm sure MSN is required. But is MPH really required?
One of the college I'm considering can waive GRE if I just want to pursue MSN only or Nurse practitioner program.
But for MSN/MPH program, GRE is required.
I know I should just study for GRE......But I'm not very confident about the verbal part.

Another question is what the salary like as in infection control nurse?
Do nurse practitioners general make more than infection control nurses do?
I know anyone cannot specify salary ranges, but I just want to get some ideas because I have to invest my money and time.

I just need some advices to finish winding myself about my career choice.
Please help!
