Would any one care to share how you facility completes JCAHO's requirement for hand hygiene sueveillance????? And how the data is reported????

We are discussing monitoring soap/paper towel supplies vs direct care observations.

Re: Hand Hygiene Surveillance

At our facility we do alot of education, posters, handwashing demonstrations and also observations of handwashing practices. We try to get secret employees to help with the monitoring, because s soon as they see us they know waht we are doing.
Good luck.
