Question Be Your Own Boss?

I was wondering what kind of jobs a nurse can do that would allow him/her to be their own boss?

Re: Be Your Own Boss?

Nurses make MUCH less than doctors do. However it is definately a liveable wage.

Re: Be Your Own Boss?

To answer the OP's question: you'd have to define what you mean by "be your own boss". Nurse Practitioners can have their "own" practice (diagnosing, prescribing for clinic patients for example) but they must still work under the supervision (some say guidance, whatever) of an MD.

You can have quite a bit of autonomy in many areas of nursing, for RNs anyway, but there's ALWAYS someone "over" you.

Is this what you're thinking?
