Writing class for RN

Hi-

Was wondering if anyone can help me with any ideas. Ive been looking for a while for a writing class to help brush up on my professional writing skills before I start applying for my masters.

I dont want to do it through a college because then I have to worry about a grade and transcripts. Any ideas where online I can find a class??? I seem to be at a loss.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Writing class for RN

You might consider a jr. college class for adult education that does not offer credit. There are books and possibly CD's available.

Be aware that nursing (and other sciences) use the APA format for writing, while the rest of academia uses MLA. For this reason I recommend you READ nursing journals (real, peer-reviewed ones) to get familiar with the format. Also, when in school I had the writing lab assist me with grammar, etc. They could not help with the formatting, but there is software for that. Bottom line, don't worry, there are resources.
