working and studying nursing

Hi,

So I need some advice, I am in a graduate nursing program I already have a bachelor in Health Science and I am currently doing a BNS, which is a 2 year accelator graduate entry program.

I am spreading it out over 3 years so that I can work and study at the same time. I currently work as a research coordinator have done so for 5 years and I make 50K a year, I live in California.

My question, next year I have to take blocks of time off work to go do clinical rotations. As such I will probably loose my job. What jobs are good for people experienced in health care but not yet RN's. I thoughts about medical assistant or PCT, but I have also heard they pay horrible, and is it really going to help my resume for nursing. What job should I look for when I am between rotations, I work a student RN full time for 6 weeks every 6 months for 2 years starting jan 09. Any suggestions are welcome!
