Working and completing a BSN

by iliel

I was wondering if there was anyone here who, after completion of a ADN program, went into a BSN prog while working? I have options to do a BSN full time, 3/4 time, or part time. I would like to finish it ASAP but don't know if that's a realistic goal.
thanks
iliel

I did it over 3 semesters working full time. (It took me 2 whole years just to get the prereqs such as biochem out of the way before I started.) Was employed at a hospital at the time which was VERY student friendly, I might add (not all are this way--I was blessed with the best nursing supervisor in the world)--very accomodating to my school schedule and any "unexpected" time off needed for school projects.

I did it. I got my ADN in '92. I went back for my BSN when my son was 1 yr old. I worked the weekend program (work 24, paid for 36). It was very difficult, but it can be done.
I'm now back in school for nurse practitioner. Still working full-time, son is now 5 yrs old. I know it will be difficult, but I can do it. So can you!
