women's health interview on june 4th

I have a opportunity to interview at a hmo in their women's health as an LPN. i have some post op gyn, but no OB. But i am not stupid either and I have a clue (i think) about what i need to do: the main assessments of weight, urine, bp, fetal heart tones, fundal height. Am i on the right track? please help...

...probably the usual set up for pap smears, STDs, sexual histories, safe sex practices, domestic histories.

...then there will be the teaching for nutrition during pregnancy, sexual positions to accomodate growing uterus, unusual pain and/or bleeding, signs of PIH, etc.

If you still have your OB text that will surely help. One of the biggies in OB is the family dyanamics (sp), as marital status, custody, keeping baby or adoption, safety issues, WIC, etc. But it is very rewarding. Let us know how the interview goes.

it was a group interview with the usual questions about being a team player, transition from acute to ambulatory care. i hate group interviews! i can never tell if i am saying the right thing. one of the things that i talked about was the issue of conflict. I used the example of how I worked for a company that taught living skills to dd adults in their homes and when she came back from M leave she made my life a living hell. and i just caved... she had people spying on me and i would get phone calls about why i did xyz. i told them how i had to go into therapy to learn how to deal with conflict and be more assertive.
I think i made the right answers, used body language and humor. now the fun part!
