what are Th cells?

This is about cytokines, interleukins and IL-18

IL-18 plays an important role in the development
of Th cells.

I know about T lymphocytes, T helper cells, T suppressor cells

What are Th cells?

I've looked on google for a while and found Th1 and Th2 cells (psoriasis and atopic dermatitis).

If I am not mistaken Th cells is also known as T helper cells and they play a central role in adaptive immunity.

Yup, they are T Helper Cells -- they are "useless" in the sense of immunity (no phagocytic or cytotoxic effects). Their main action is to activate other cells (particularly B cells).

thanks
I kept googling and found one source that referred to
Th cells as "helper" cells

it is IL-18 that contributes to the development of Th cells.
