It means nursing usually in a hospital or some other facility that puts nurses at the bedside as opposed to administration or research nursing.

I guess I don't understand the term "clinical" as it relates to nursing. Is this the practice of nursing in a hospital, as opposed to the practice of nursing in a doctor's office, LTC facility, community health center, etc.?
