just thought i would start a new thread for students waiting on acceptance letters for the fall 2008 start...........the wait is killing me!!!!!

im excited though, all my hard work, and now i just have to sit and wait, does anyone know how long or when to expect the letters in the mail, i wonder how long after the deadline date they mail out the letters???

I've been waiting for a month... it's killing me... my check for the application fee hit my account 2 weeks ago...

I hate being on pins & needles.....

Huh? Check For Application Fee, I Didnt Know Anything ABout That, What School Are You Applying For , I Hope Its Not Mine!!

Hi Dizern! I just dropped off my application a couple days ago. They always tell you 8 wks from the deadline but past students say it's more like 5 wks or so. I really hope so - that makes it early July. May I ask how many points you had? I had 192.8. I hope it's enough!

i had 215, so im sure i will get in im just going crazy with nothing to do, i went ahead and took three classes during the summer towards my AA because im going crazy with anticipation and boredom, i just cant wait to get this ball rollin

All colleges in my state charge an application fee.... and no fee, no consideration of application.

Still no word.. I swear, this is worse than waiting for a baby.... It's been almost 6 weeks now

When I applied to summer.. it took only a few weeks after the cut off date... i turned my application in on the exact cut off date.. and Id say they mailed me a letter with in about 4-6 weeks. I didnt get it... I applied when i was still enrolled in a hum. class and didnt get the points for that class plus had only taken the NAT once.... Now i have completed the course... and took the NAT over again... and I now have 180.89 points... i dont know if i will get in!! The cut off points for summer was in the 190's.. which was suprisingly very high... my best friend had 193 points and didnt get in at first.. but then was called back because 10 people didnt make it to registration and she is now a first year nursing student at FCCJ!!! I am really proud of her. I hope i will get in this time.. it was a real disappointment not to get in!! I dont want that feeling again! Good luck!!

i think the summer has like 96 seats compared to 144 in the fall and spring semesters. that's probably why the cut-off was so high. I am hoping to get in with 184pts. i'm thinking with the 144 seats plus the 24 night class seats... i should have a chance.
