UltraScope Stethoscopes

Looking for a good stethoscope for under $100. I have been seeing these cute Ultrascope Stethoscope but was wandering if they were worth the money. Any suggestions.

I love my ultrascope. Have had it since January. It is high quality, all the parts are guareented for life not to mention it is cute. Mine is bright orange with the little nurse. Got my name and RN engraved to.

My Ultrascope is the best stethoscope ever...I love how clear heart, lung, and bowel sounds are. It is crystal clear. I also like the style of mine...it looks like clear blue jello.

I like mine a lot - like the BRIGHT colors - my black littman walked away. I'm thinking an ultrascope is less likely to walk.
Acoustics are OK - but not as good as a Littman Cardiology (ultrascope is about the same as the littman master classic II I used to own). But I'm not going to fork over $200 for a stethoscope that looks like everyone elses and may walk.
Got my Ultrascope on Ebay. Check there for deals too!
Good luck!

I love my ultrascope, not only is it very individual it is great with distracting the kids sometimes! I have a purple one with butterflies in it. As far as sound it is really good, you can hear sounds even through clothing or gowns.

When I started nursing school I bought an ultrascope, the acoustic quality was good... a little too good. I found it to pick up every little sound not from my pts, for example, when I would take BP's the side of the cuff would sometimes brush against it and that's all I would hear! I have a litmann now and I LOVE it!!

I got my ultrascope when I started the program. I graduated recently and will be purchasing another one with a different design........I think they are the best!

I have owned both types - Littmann and Ultrascope - I think I prefered the Littmann - however, the Ultrascope lasted longer (it too walked off, as well as two Littmann's). I have literally had to run down the hall to get my stethescope back from a doctor who "borrowed" it. I would suggest getting it engraved if you do spend $100 for one.
