Question? - Ultrascope

I have been thinking about buying an ultrascope. I mainly need it for taking blood pressure and i was wondering how good it does for blood pressure. Right now I'm using a cheap stethoscope and on some patients its really hard hear. I am wanting something that help me hear better.. plus i love how cute the ultrascopes are.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Ultrascope

I have an Ultrascope and I absolutely love it. I have never heard breath sounds, heart sounds, and blood pressures more clearly.

Re: Ultrascope

Yes, they are awesome. I have one, and a top-of-the-line ACD Adscope. The Ultrascope is lighter and cheaper than the ACD and has nearly equal sound. In a noisy environment, they really help you hear what you need to.
When I broke an earpiece, the company replaced the whole assembly for free. Good service!
Just beware of the fake ones -- they too are labelled as Ultrascopes but have larger heads, a crude finish, poor sound quality, and are packaged in a bag, not a box.

Re: Ultrascope

Hey there! If you're looking for a stethescope only for taking BP's but an Ultrascope is too pricey, look at this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Prestige-Medic...156472&sr=8-12

I had a basic Sprague scope my first year of nursing school and had trouble hearing everything...my hubby gave me that one last Christmas and it's clear as a bell! Not to mention, it's less than half the cost of an Ultrascope. Good luck, hope you find one you like!

I have a Clear Sound too!

For the price, and as long as you don't mind taking blood pressures without a bell (I have a hearing problem, so the little extra clarity that a bell provides taking BPs is a must for me), I don't think it can be beat.

You might want to call around and find out if any of the medical supply shops in your area will let you test the stethoscopes they carry before you make your purchase.

Good luck finding your perfect stethoscope.
