Triad

Does anyone work for a Triad facility in the States?

I work in their first European venture in Dublin, Ireland, and overall I find them very good as an employer.

Just wondered what other Triad employees thought? Compare notes!

The last hospital I worked at was purchased by Triad and the improvements were amazing. The hospital was given a much needed facelift and looks great now. The employee benefit package inproved dramatically. Staffing policies improved. Then I got married and moved to the opposite end of the state and had to leave that job. My former co-workers are still very pro Triad. I would definitely work for Triad again in a heart beat. Not sure if all Triad Hospitals are this good but my experience was very positive.

Triad is a spin off of HCA (Hospital Corp of America) which was formerly owned by Sen. Bill Frist. The hospital I worked for was HCA and Triad was going to take it over but for some reason didn't. If they are putting money into you now this will probably be the last- they believe in paying their stockholders first and tend to milk the hospitals like they were cash cows. Don't be looking for state of the art equipment it just won't happen and staffing levels will remain below par if they are run anything like their parent company.

Most facilities make cash flow a priority, however Triad (at least where I live) seems to take that to a whole new level.

Well for the time being, this Triad hospital is claiming to be the most technologically advanced hospital in Europe (and from working here i'd believe it too) They are a staging ground for General Electric and it appears no expense has been spared!

As for staffing levels, the Irish healthcare system leaves alot to be desired and the hospital I worked in previously ran on a ratio of 1 nurse to 12 patients! We have a ratio of 1:5 here which, for me, seems like heaven!

This is my first job in a private establishment, and I guess i'm not accustomed to thinking of patients as customers!
