Re: Traveling jobs
This is my experiance:
Pros: live where you want to live, paid housing, good pay, no hospital/union politics, learn new things. Job doesn't get boring. Meet new people. Pick and choose the environment around you.
Cons: learning a new hospital each assignment; if it really bad you are still committed to the assignment. I have found that insurance is worse as a traveler even though it is free. Usually no paid time off, floated first. Living with only the stuff that fits in a vehicle especially if you travel full time which I do right now.
I don't mind living in a furnished apartment but some people want all their stuff around. You have to live off of mostly basics.
There are always exceptions but this is what I have found to be true for me. Everyone's story is different. You have to either like change or atleast not mind it. I think the pros largely outway the cons.
It's 4 am so please excuse any typos, it's been a long night :-)
